Use buttons, themes and Maintenance Mode
These tools control reusable calls to action, the public theme and temporary visitor access.
Create a reusable button
- Open Settings > Buttons and choose Create new button.
- Enter its internal name, visible text and destination URL.
- Choose alignment, style, size, corner style, hover effect and whether the link opens in a new tab.
- Add optional prefix text, an accessible ARIA label or full-width display.
- Keep Use custom colours clear to inherit the chosen preset and Style Settings. Select it only for a deliberate one-off colour scheme.
- Keep the button active, check its live preview and save.
- Copy its
[button id="…"]shortcode into the required content.
Change the website theme
Open Settings > Theme, select an available public theme and choose Save Website Theme. This changes the public website; the CMS keeps the standard Nune admin design.
Changing theme can alter layout defaults. Check the homepage, menus, shop or blog, forms and footer on desktop and mobile afterwards. Style Settings can then refine the active theme.
Use Maintenance Mode
- Open Settings > Maintenance.
- Edit the visitor title and message.
- Select Enable maintenance mode.
- Keep the admin bypass selected if signed-in CMS admins should continue viewing the website.
- Select Save Maintenance Settings.
Visitors see the maintenance notice instead of the public site, while the CMS remains available. Remember to clear Enable maintenance mode and save again when the work is complete.
