Create or edit a product

Create a product for anything visitors can view and buy through your shop.

Add a product

  1. Open Shop > Add Product.
  2. Enter the Product name and leave the slug empty to generate it automatically.
  3. Add an Excerpt and full Description.

The initial choice follows Settings > Default Content Layout. Use the excerpt arrows to place the excerpt before or after the description. This applies at every size for a full-width product and when a two-column product stacks. Price and basket controls keep their normal position.

  1. Enter the main Price and Stock.
  2. Add options for the main product when needed. A positive adjustment increases the price; a negative adjustment reduces it.
  3. Add Variations only when the product has another version with its own price, stock or options.
  4. Choose a primary category and any additional categories. With no selection, the product is Uncategorised.
  5. Choose a layout, visibility and shipping profile.
  6. Select a main image and optional gallery images.
  7. Add search information if needed, then select Create Product.

Edit or duplicate a product

Open Shop > All Products and use the product's actions. Edit updates it; Duplicate creates a new draft-like copy with an empty slug so a new address is generated when saved.

Before publishing

Check the price, stock, option adjustments, shipping and Active / visible on website setting. View the public product after saving and test its options before promoting it.
