Forms, email and bookings
Set up website email
Normal contact, booking and order emails can use the Nune mail service. You usually need only an Admin / recipient email and From name.
Nune-managed email
- Open Site Settings.
- Enter a monitored Admin / recipient email.
- Enter a recognisable From name.
- Leave the Site Email SMTP host, username, password and From email empty.
- Select Save Site.
The recipient receives website notifications. Customer confirmations go to the address the customer enters in the form or checkout.
Use your own mailbox
Complete the SMTP section only when your provider has supplied the settings:
- From email and From name;
- SMTP host, username and password;
- port and security method.
Common combinations are port 587 with TLS or 465 with SSL, but use the provider's instructions.
Test it
- Save the settings.
- Enter an address under Test recipient.
- Select Send Test Email.
- Check the inbox and spam folder.
Then test the real contact, booking or checkout flow because that also checks its recipient and template settings.
If it does not work
Check the complete SMTP username, password, port and security method. Do not substitute a personal Gmail or iCloud address for a sender authorised by another mail provider.
