Troubleshoot a custom domain

Start by checking Domain status in Site Settings. The Nune URL is the safest login route until the status reaches SSL ready.

The domain shows another website

The DNS is still pointing elsewhere or an old forwarding rule remains. Check the @ and www records at the domain provider and compare them with the Nune instructions.

The browser shows an SSL warning

Do not bypass the warning. Wait until Site Settings shows SSL ready. Nune requests the certificate only after the DNS reaches the Nune server.

The login page is wrong

While a domain is pending, use nune.uk/your-slug/login. Once SSL is ready, your-domain.com/login should show the website's branded login.

An email address can sign in only when that person has access to the selected website.

Save the current domain and Nune slug in Site Settings. If a menu contains a manually typed full URL, update that menu item in the CMS.

Ask for help

Open Support and include:

  • the domain;
  • the current Domain status;
  • the exact warning or error;
  • whether the main domain, www, or both are affected.

Never send domain-provider passwords or secret keys.
