Connect a custom domain

Add the domain in Site Settings, then point its DNS records to the IP address shown by Nune. Nune checks the records and installs SSL automatically.

Add the domain

  1. Open Site Settings.
  2. Enter the domain under Custom domain, for example example.com.
  3. Do not include https://, www or a page path.
  4. Select Save Site.

Change the DNS

At the domain provider, create or update:

  • an A record for @ using the Nune IP shown in Site Settings;
  • an A record for www using the same IP, or a CNAME from www to the main domain.

Remove conflicting records for the same host. DNS changes can take time to reach every network.

Check the status

  • Pending: Nune is waiting for the DNS.
  • Verified: the DNS is correct and SSL is being installed.
  • SSL ready: the secure domain is connected.
  • Failed: read the displayed message. Nune will retry automatically.

The Nune URL remains available while the domain connects.

If it does not work

Check the records at the domain provider rather than adding the Nune IP to a forwarding field. If the status remains unchanged after DNS has propagated, use Support and include the domain name and displayed error.
